O/T Names In The Sand

This is the story of the pictures:

I got this idea one day as I was on my way to my regular Mediterranean beach last year (when I visited my dying Uncle) and stumbled upon a little stick; picked it up, and instantly knew what I wanted to do; got to the beach, thought about all of you with love and wished you were all there and we could have a huge CureZone party.

I picked a stretch of the beach where the sea seemed a little calmer and waves were not constantly washing the shore - I needed time for my labour of love, working with a poor little 25 cm or so stick.

Something beautiful happened: as soon I started writing names in the sand and taking pictures of them, some people walking up and down the beach stopped to read. Some passed by without looking, some stopped to read the names (and whatever else I wrote) and continued on their way, some stopped, read and wanted to know who these people were (e.g. Wommie? Who are Trapper, HennaHead and HarmonicChange? - sorry, I misspelled your name) and wanted to know details: are they nice, is he funny, is she kind? What are CureZoners? When/where have you met him/her? where do they live? ... The crowd grew thicker and thicker. Sometimes I'd just finish writing a name and before I could take the picture, a rebel wave would wipe it, people would start laughing and applauding, cheering me on to write the name again, warning me if another wave was coming! Before I realized what was happening, the party I wanted was on! It was like an out-of-control soccer crowd! They loved the idea and some said they would do the same. It was quite a spectacle!

I thought this was amazing, one of the best memories of the trip. I felt my soul unfolding like a lotus, as I was telling them about the special people in my life whose names I was diligently writing in the sand, wishing they could do the same sometime in the future, perhaps on the very same beach: remember me with love and write my name in the sand. This way, I felt you really, really close, you know...

And this was my little love story of the day. And I'm sticking to it.
