Difference between a mole and a melanoma ?

I have alot of moles but Im worried I may have a melanoma under my eye. I have had a Doctor look at it ,but I do not trust Doctors. I do not understand how some members in the forum got rid of their moles after they put something on them.
One person said one of the moles had flaky skin on top of it , well so does mine thats under my eye.
I red there are 3 ways in which a melanoma is diagnosed .
1. Unregular shape ( Not round or oval )
2. Dark brown or red in color
3. Raised above the skin

so I would like your advise or opinion of what you think I should do after the Doctor told me that he thinks it is not a melanoma ? Tweet
