I don't think the original poster needs any advice. He/she's exactly on the right path. Feeding yourself with healthy food, healthy thoughts, etc is precisely the way to feel better.
I've said many times that
Depression is two things:
1) a simple preponderance of negative thoughts over positive ones and:
2) a healthy condition that signals us when our lives are seriously not up to our expectations - and gives us extreme pain to make extreme adjustments.
Plus as someone who's stopped watching TV some years ago, you will be amazed at your transformation from that alone. The world will start to make sense again (as sad as that might sometimes be). You'll find you're more interested in soul fulfillment and less interested in being materialistic and competitive and judgmental of others.
Keep doing what you're doing and you will notice big positive changes in your life and mental state.
