Dandilion has to be the most abundant plants in America. Basically the white man's weed, because it appears where people mow their yards and not something the Indians had to deal with.

James Duke? Pretty much a herbs instead of drugs type of fellow and the higher you can get using herbs to get stones, he is all for. He has probably suckwed on more coco leaves than most white men on earth if you listen to his adventures in south america. Can you get lecithin from Dandilion? I doubt if you can from the hard dry roots, which is the most common way people buy it as a tea.

From the white milky sap in the stems? YES, I bet that is where it is located and it only taste good in the early spring and turns bitter by summer.
