Looking for natural replacement for plavix
The guy who cuts my lawn has just lost his health insurance. He had a heart attack a couple of years ago and had a stent put in. The doctors had him on cholesterol meds (that can be replaced with red-yeast rice and/or policosanol) and plavix. He's been off the plavix for about a month (because he can't afford it any more) and he's noticing chest pains. He's been hit hard by the economy downturn and has 4 little grandkids plus 2 adult children living with him and his longtime girlfriend.
I told him that there were natural supplements or herbs that he could take to replace the plavix. He's also a diabetic. He's been working on loosing weight and quitting smoking. He's lost a lot of weight and has cut back the cigs.
The guy is a "salt of the earth" good 'ole boy and I'd like to help him out. I know he's not going to be able to afford a lot of supplements or herbal extracts, we've got to keep it affordable, or he won't do it.
In a pinch, I can get the bulk herbs and make extracts, but I dunno if he'll take them.
So could you help me? Garlic, cayenne, coq10 and hawthorn would be good for him, no? What about his blood sugar?
