Based on the size the other possibility is a hematocele, which is similar to a hydrocele but is filled with blood and tends to be a lot more painful. He has not gone to the doctor yet. No tests yet. He will if he has to. He does not have a computer and was inquiring with me to find a diagnosis to see if he could self treat before he made an appointment. He said it is very painful and the skin is red. Now that I told him to use warm compresses, will that be ok if it's a hematocele and not a cyst? What would the treatment be?
