Bitter Herbs, supplements and Thyroid, what's going on??????????????

Something strange, everytime I try and take bitter herbs, vitamin B supplements, supplements (fullstop), I feel this awful tighting across the front of my throat, I get a pain in my ear, and my throat feel sore. Hair starts falling more too.
I'm guessing that my thyroid is being affected in some way. I found some really good Colon Cleanse capsules, that contain gentian, goldenseal. They do help my stomach, but after a few days, symptoms of sore throat reappears

Please can someone tell me why my thyroid is affected in this way. Possibly a cyst? or thyroid just over sensitive?
