You hit on the very issue that so many people seem to disagree on which is whether supplementing the glands with steroids or glandular/cortex tissue will cause the glands to stop producing and ultimately atrophy/fail. I'm very concerned about how my glands have been affected after being on prednisone for 10 years and was hoping that substituting the cortex tissue supplements for the prednisone, over time, might be a way to get off the prednisone and repair my glands. I guess I feel that, if possible, replacing the prednisone with the cortex tissue would be better than continuing with the prednisone with all the long-term side affects associated with it. According to what you say and what I have been reading, it seems that B5 is a critical component in the recovery process, one element I wasn't aware of. I suppose I should consult my ND and see what her take is on the matter. Thanks for your input.
