Fifteen years ago, I suffered a compound fracture of the radius and ulna, resulting in two plates and twelve screws in a midnight surgery. Pretty major stuff for a 14-year-old! Over the years, I experience paid and mild swelling when cold weather sets in or if it gets bumped against something. There was some decent nerve damage, too, which still makes itself known.
I recently birthed my first child and the added job of carrying an infant has resulted in a huge flare-up! The tendons/ligaments along the Ulna are excruciatingly painful, swollen, and weakened.
Aside from eating ibuprofen like candy, what can I do to treat this new dillema? Stretching exercises? Holistic remedies? Any advice will be greatly appreciated!!!
