Alzheimers...My mother is improving.
I hope you will hear this with the intent that this information is being provided.
A friend of ours told us 6 months ago about a product that has been changing lives. We continued to half listen and disregard. Finally the information took hold and we decided to investigate it.
We heard about a woman who was in a nursing home and had Alzheimer’s and did not know her children or her children’s names. The woman was given this product for only a week or two when she began to improve. When her son walked into the nursing home about a week later...she waved, spoke his name and told everyone that he was her son. That was enough to grab our attention.
You see my mother has Alzheimer’s and you could ask her a question a million times when sitting with her and she would struggle and say I don't know...get frustrated and angry. Then ask the question again 5 minutes later and she will try to answer like she had never been asked before…and then get frustrated and angry again.
We decided to get the product and give it to her to see how she did o it.
How has it affected us so far?
Well I started mom off last Tuesday with a 1/2 an ounce...missed Wednesday (car trouble) 1/2
oz on Thursday...then 3/4
oz the next several days...then started giving her and ounce on Monday and Tuesday…and yesterday…1
oz ½..
Her disposition is better, she looks better and is starting to respond with the correct answers when asked questions. Not consistently but much more often. She found the answers without getting angry. She is remembering her children’s names…got 3 out of 4 of her grandchildren. Told me her fathers name and even added his twin brothers name without being prompted…even telling us you couldn’t tell them apart when you heard them talking. All of this was impossible a little over a week ago.
I asked her what she had for breakfast and in a playful manner (like she was telling a joke) said, I didn’t eat anything, I gave it all to your daddy, cause I thought he looked hungry. Then she laughed and laughed and laughed. A deep laugh. It was so good to see…this woman who had resigned to sit in her chair and disappear into a world we could not share...enjoying laughing and sharing again.
Just had to share,
Darlene
