Yes, the chaparral alone is good.  I just use the other herbs and the eucalyptus oil because all of these are specific to the lungs unlike the chaparral.  But I once took a big dose of chaparral for a case of bronchitis then went to bed and when I woke up the infection was gone.  It's great stuff.

For COPD in the form of chronic bronchitis and emphysema the most important nutrients are silica, vitamin and sulfur.  Nettle leaf and watercress are both excellent sources of all of these.
