Re: More on the flu
If you are tempted to get the flu shot, you might want to go to this link and listen to what is being said:

This was given at a New York state hearing on the flu vaccine. After thousands of hours of research, he had nothing good to say about it.
I think one of the best things you can do is preventative -
stick to a good diet, get lots of fresh pure water to drink, stay on your supplements, avoid people who are already sick - use echinacea, oregano oil, green drinks, fresh juices with lots of vitamin C and anti-oxidants. Build up your immune system and keep it strong. Use common sense and don't give in to the scare tactics. Have people died from this flu - it would appear so, but even if the figures they are giving on the media are correct - there have been alot more deaths from what we consider the normal flu. So, why all the hype about this one?
They say it hits infants and pregnant women the hardest - they told me if my 4 month-old got it - with her heart problems it would be a death sentence. They were wrong - she is doing great! So, what else are they wrong about? I'm not saying you should do nothing - I'm saying be pro-active - do everything you can to prevent it and not give it an environment to thrive in (in other words, keep your body strong and clean).
I received an e-mail today saying that the virus grows in the mucus membranes, so just by gargling with salt water and using a Q-tip to swab the nostrils with salt water will prevent it from multiplying. Many times something this simple can make all the difference. I have to admit I was afraid when they told me Kaylee could not survive the flu when so many are sick all around us, but now I know that, as usual, we just have to stick with the basics.
