Hi, I'm Paul, a 36 year old freelance writer. My field is psychology. I have always been underweight. I am 5 feet 10 inches and 8 stone 5. (117 pounds) I was just a couple or few pounds lighter 10 years ago. I have (as yet) not written about weight issues. Indeed this small message is the most I have ever written.
As far as my physical health is concerned I have had very few problems other than minor bruising on my side from sleeping on one side of my body all night. I eat normally -and always have done so. The only problem I have experienced in that area is feeling very hungry easily. This has led to some disturbances in sleep but again it is minor. I am definitely not insomniac.
However I may look into the psychological aspects. Being male, in my 30s and yet only 8 stone 5 (117 pounds) and a 27 inch waist surely has psychological consequences. Does anyone know of quality studies into psychological implications of low weight in men?
