9 years of liver inflammation

hi i have had a inflammed liver since 2000, the pain from my liver has never gone away but the enzymes have been normal but gone up at least 40 times in the last 9 years and who knows how many other times since i dont have them checked constantly which is the only way to really see if there is inflammation cause when checked they only reflect that point in time. but since i have had the pain there and spleen pain for 9 years and i have Gallstones and severe bile flow problems for about 6 years. my platelets are bordering on abnormal. i have only read that liver disease causes these symptoms when it is advanced[cirrhosis]. i am worried i do have cirrhosis but my liver specialist says i dont. i even had acute hepatitis which lasted a week. has anyone had 9 years of chronic liver inflammation without cirrhosis? or liver pain for this long without cirrhosis? i dont know anyone with liver disease or any of these symptoms and would like to know other ppls experiences etc. i even had a 3 biopsies done and they showed inflammtion[mild]. but the last one showed nothing 2 years ago. how can i have severe bile flow problems and Gallstones and fat malabsorption and not have serious liver disease? does anyone have these symptoms with just hepatitis and no cirrhosis? cause i have never read liver inflammation alone can cause these symptoms, only liver disease when it gets advanced.
