How to deal with muscle problems

Dear All,
I originally posted on DR Sutter's forum, but there have been no responses yet, so I'll try here.
My wife has had muscle/tendon problems for quite a while now - many many years. Now she's hot packing every day from head to toe, with a ginger mixture, as well as a special herbal infusion. But I don't see that she's making any progress in pain relief. Even the muscles around her eyes and forehead are sore, so much so that her eyesight is much worse now than before. It seems to really be all over, head, neck, shoulder, face, thighs. And she has an old injury from elementary school when she was hit playing dodge ball, on the right kidney. That area is now especially sore and feels a little hard, like the cells were damaged.
On top of this she is a recovering cancer patient (breast cancer) I don't think there's any connection between that and the muscle pain, as it was occurring long before the cancer happened.
Anyway, I hope someone on this forum can point us in the right direction for dealing with this, hopefully in a more holistic manner, because she doesn't like going to hospitals anymore. Thanks
