Re: anti-aging regimen for dogs...
Dietary Protocol
Science Diet for Seniors 2 Kosher hot dogs with sauerkraut and mustard on a bun, per week
1 slice of low-fat pizza per week (his favorite)
Hmmmm ... even if some of those supplements had any credibilty, the 'dietary protocol' is somewhat odd .....
The answers are always found in nature and there is very limited nature in the regimen as described in the article.
The nutritional basics: Raw meaty bones & offal, small amounts of fruit and vegetables, oily fish, wild grasses, seaweed, eggs, fermented foods ....
Lots of exercise - in the wild, dogs will roam for hours on end
Good leadership and a place they can call their own - canines like the stabilty of a safe place to return to. What is interesting is that dogs in the wild will only ever follow a stable and strong pack leader, whereas humans tend to follow weak pack leaders.
Plenty of play, especially with other canines - dogs are pack animals and also love to wrestle with each other.
And the love we give them, from a dog psychology point of view, dogs don't require that type of love ... that type of love is what benefits humans. That is why dogs are our best friends, because they offer us the opportunity for the giving and receiving of unconditional love. It's a real priviledge for us that dogs have allowed humans to befriend them.
Perhaps it would be better to seek to fulfill our dogs as dogs, rather than have them fulfill us?
The answer is not in loaded supplemetation.
