Thanks Tracy - I probably was overreacting. I think having calories (from ginger root starch, maybe?) makes the ginger tea I had more of a food than an ordinary herbal tea, which has zero calories. I did a shorter fast before this one, and when I started eating again after that I got a feeling like a lump in my throat, the same feeling I got from that tea last night. But I agree with you now that I probably didn't wreck my fast.

The good news was that this morning my saltwater flush went through me at twice the normal speed, possibly due to my colon already wanting to pass the ginger carbos I failed to digest. It was blacker than normal too. Looks like I'm finally starting to get at some plaque!
