depends on how caught up in the fantasy they are.
lets face it, mms kills germs, as most bleaching agents do. If you could get mms past your body's natural defense mechanisms (vomiting, diahrrea), then perhaps it might do some good. Or possibly applied topically it could do some good. SDK below states that mms had done great things for him, but towards the end of the post, he states that he probably couldnt really credit mms for everything. Humble wants you to now drink it all day long, to keep your body flooded with it. Marlene did this for 10 months, with 20-40 drops per day. She claims it helped cure her multiple sclerosis. But she's the only one. Luckily for her she's too old to have kids, because genetically who knows what she's done to her body.
But this is the attitude of many who have used it. Saving face is more important that being honest. Nobody wants to look like an idiot for believing some old miner who told them to drink pulp bleach and all their problems would go away.
