malabsorption


I have been suffering from an unexplained malabsorption syndrome for many years,only properly diagnosed a few years ago,I have undergone many tests,colonoscopies,small bowel biopsies,ct scans,mri.pill-cam,double balloon enteroscopy,gallbladder removal.I have tried pancreatic enzymes,gluten free diet,no help,also no parasites ever found,malabsorption is causing malnutrition,which in turn is causing secondary hyperparathyroidism,the pth levels tend to normalize on mega doses of calcium and vitamin d.I am underweight despite a very good appetite,no nausea,stomach pain,some joint pains,fatigue,weakness,also a 72 hour fecal fat test showed elevated levels at (11)
