Re: Extreme flatulence triggered by anxiety.Help!!

Hello,

We have received feedback from a few member who tested our Shreddies underwear which we would like to share with you all. If anybody else has any feedback, we would very much like to hear from you.

FEEDBACK

I find myself more confident while wearing shreddies to work. it had already been a couple of months. i must say at the begginning it did feel that it was working very well. but later on, i found the smell would still escape after a few seconds. I have not washed it once. because i normally wear another underwear under it. (as i wanted to keep the carbon working as long as possible).

I would be interested in purchasing again in the near future.

Generally it's alright.

Thank you.

In response:

In this lady’s case the garment is probably too big for her and therefore we would suggest a smaller size for the function to work more effectively. The underwear has to be closely contoured to the body in order for the flatulence to filter through the back panel successfully. We have found that the majority of customers that contact us regarding their Shreddies not working are those that have brought the wrong size. After exchanging for a more appropriate size customers as a whole are very happy with their purchase.

FEEDBACK

I found that the Shreddies work pretty well about 90% the time. Sometimes the odor is not completely blocked. However, even when I can detect odor, it is not very potent and more fleeting than if I was not wearing the Shreddies.

Overall, I am very pleased with the Shreddies. They are comfortable and fit well, but they are a much larger cut than the underwear I normally wear so that has taken some getting used to. I also cannot wear them under more clingy, tighter fabrics as the underwear lines show through. But, for most days when I am at work, they do the job.

Thanks for letting me try them out. I plan on posting a thread on ibsselfhelp.org about my experience.

In response:

It is possible that this wearer could have used fabric conditioner in the underwear. The wash care instructions states that no conditioner or fabric softener should be used as this can potentially clog the pores of the garment and disallow the particles to pass through. This could be a potential reason why this lady’s Shreddies doesn’t completely filter the odour. With customers that have this problem we suggest they use soda powder as this is the most basic form of washing powder that doesn’t contain perfumed/ softener agents.

FEEDBACK

Hi there.

I have been testing the myshreddies garment for about a month and a half now and it has eliminated mosf if not all the flatulence odor. But there's a secondary problem that I hadn't anticipated: the wheather.

As I live in the tropics and we're having a problem for quite some time with the air conditioning system in my office (the only place that I have to wear them) I sweat, which gives me a smell of wet carbon/kinda dirty underwear though I shower and wash and drie the pants. It happens very quicky. Sorry for being graphic. The thing is that I smell it sometimes and when I move around sometimes people sniff and kinda stare at me and I'm not sure they're smelling what I just described or some flatulence odor (hope not!).

But I do recall that the first three days were perfection and that gives me so much hope! Then came the forementioned smell.

So I'm trying to figure it out how to prevent the sweat to soak the fabric and the carbon panel - I suppose that creates this smell. I've tried wearing two cotton briefs under it as to make them absorb the liquid and it would work if the extra layers didn't make me hotter. I also tried a peace of towel - same effect. So I guess I'll just use extra toilet paper down there and make a few trips to the bathroom to change them and see how it goes.

Do you have any idea of what I should to to get rid of this particular problem? I mean since you created the garment (and thank you for that). As soon as I find out how do deal with it I will be able to be sure of the product's efficiency if nobody sniffs at all.

Thank you for your attention.

In response:

This is an issue we are aware of for customers that live in more hotter climates. We have tried to make the back panel as thin as possible and are always looking to develop the garment with cooling fabrics to let the fabric breath, reducing sweat build up.
