Thanks for the reply, I have the same general understanding of efficacy. The cofactors are important to functional ascorbate. Just like DNA is a structure, it still requires mRNA, tRNA, rRna, and other nucleotides to function. However, would you believe there's a higher demand of the body for ascorbic acid than its cofactor constituents.
Many on these forums claim that it's a great antioxidant, but the cofactors facilitate a broader spectrum of health benefits than the ascorbate alone.
