... there is no difference between organic and inorganic, the I2 is the same I2 ....

It is extracted from some minerals.. search google or from kelp.

From kelp it is possible that there is arsenic traces

With chemical extraction , electrolysis and acid you can get also other components and radioactive Iodine maybe.

I dont think it matters much, i dont believe that crap about some I3 I4 ... In forms of Iodine in solution, they exist in crystal(?) forms and gazeous especialy forms but NOT in the soluble .. it is mostly I2 and KI - discovered by Lugols that I2 could become soluble in alcool / water with potassium.
