This is going to save all your butts - and I do mean ALL of you that toil reading for answers and can't figure out how to save them or remember. My husband is a programmer so don't be afraid of the instructions or this web link - it's all clean and perfectly legal and wonderful. It won't take up any room on your computer and will enable you to build your particular health profile to remember when you needed it most (when you're more mentally clear unlike when you're ill and toiling through messages).

This is a virtual printer plug-in that allows you to print a webpage as a pdf file. This means it's a picture file and you can click on it and bring it up anytime in a window to read. For us brain-foggers that's very helpful in not having to worry about copy/pasting or remembering the great thread that saved our butt. Now - it's a bigger file than word documents (it's not huge but still) so 1st, add one or two posts that were helpful to your 'favorites folder' on cz or copy/paste in a word document. But for threads that are so helpful that you should save the whole thing? Print it as a virtual pdf to your computer. If you do want to print it out you absolutely can. Pdf's also take a decent amount of ink through your printer so if you do - choose the 'all black and white' method.

These methods can be used in any application that you can print from on MAC or PC

This is the web address for the free plug-in.

Free Download (3.36MB)

Download the link, follow directions and install.
* this is a virtual printer that prints to a pdf file.
Go to the thread/web page you want to save, choose print from your file menu
On printer drop down options choose 'cute pdf', then hit OK
You will get a pop-up window asking you where to save the file and it's name.
*I have a 'health' file on my desktop and save curezone threads in that*

FOR MAC
pdf printing is built into the OS system.
simply choose the thread/web page you want, choose PRINT in the file menu
on the bottom left corner of the print window there is a button that drops down and gives you the option to save as a pdf
set your file name and location and press PRINT.

*newer Macs:
On Macs running Office 2008 you have to save as file type .pdf (from file menu of course) instead of using the usual PRINT option.

TO YOUR HEALTH!

love,

Mr & Ms H
