Need Help Identifying Herb Tree

Anybody know of a good herb identifying web site? I've spent hours looking, but I'm still unable to identify an herb tree in my yard.

A friend gave me the small tree about year ago, but couldn't recall the name of it. He said the leaves are healthy for us to eat and to add a few leaves to salads. He also said any one that knows about herbs would recognize it - as it is common. I have a beautiful herb book called The Herb Bible, but it's not pictured in it. If I knew for sure what it is I would get more use out of it.

Maybe some one here would recognize it.... the tree is about 6 feet. It is planted in a pot - it may get larger if out of the pot.

The tree has no fruit, it does have a small flower that turns into a seed, right now they are dryed. The leaves are soft, but firm enough for a salad, and about 2 1/2 inches oblong when mature - . The edges of the leaf look kind of like Lemon Balm and the flower looks a little like Nettle, but it is not as stiff looking - the edges of the leaf look like Lemon Balm - but the leaves are longer and a little thinner, and it has no leaves at the base of the larger leaf like Lemon Balm. The leaf appears about the same thickness and texture as Lemon Balm.

If anyone who knows herbs could guess what it sounds like, I could look it up on the internet to check and see if it matches. I don't have a clue, I would love to know what it is!

Hv, do you have any idea what it sounds like?
