HAHA!! DID I EVER SHOW THEM!!!
Hey everybody,
I just had to share today's experience with you. I am on day 23 today, and really beginning to get into a groove with everything. I decided to go for a hike through the woods with one of my good friends and her dog. I also had the boys, so she carried my one year old, and my two year old was walking. For those of you in Vancouver, we went to Lighthouse Park in West Van. We got down to the water, and it had been a bit difficult as my son kept falling on all the rocks. I had his hand tightly in mine, so the effect was like balancing well, and then having someone trying to pull you down. The trail is pretty rocky and steep. Well, we turned to go back, and discovered that we had lost the path. So we bushwacked, uphill and sometimes scaling small rock faces. I helped my two year old over much of it, and when he couldn't go any further...... Yep, I carried him, first on my hip, and later when we found the path on my shoulders. He weighs 37 pounds, it was a 40 minute walk. Although the walk was tiring, I still had the same amount of energy I would have had if I were eating. So I will be telling this story to the growing amount of people concerned about the 40 day time line. I am strong, and can do difficult physical tasks without any noticeable signs that I am on a cleanse/fast. The only signs of our experience were a few scratches from the bush whacking. Sorry if I sound a little self grandiosed, it's just that I hadn't really tested how strong I was for fear of sapping my strength, and therefore derailing my 40 day goal. But isn't it crazy how we get stronger the longer we go?? As the saying goes, you've got to see it to believe it. Now the naysayers don't have a foot to stand on. TEEHEE TEEHEE!!!
Hope you all have a great evening/sleep!!
Claire
