Re: wheatgrass juicer for tincture press

Yes, you can use ANY type of a juicer to help press tinctures. However, there will be a LOT of sediment in the tincture. Generally those that use a juicer to press their tincture, also do something to remove the sediment (like running/pressing it through the corner of an organic cotton pillowcase).

When I make tinctures, I always macerate the dried herbs after they've soaked in the alcohol for a few days (to the consistency of applesauce...so that ALL the herbal goodies are exposed to the menstruum/alcohol). When I tried my Omega 8005 as a 'press', it separated VERY little pulp (and I had to repress the majority through cloth).

'Sorry for the vast delay in response time.

Blessings,
