Re: kidney pain?

I've also heard that mainsteam doctors dissuade their clients from fasting. It is completely up to you though what you want to do. I'm just sharing what I've learned and I plan on doing. Actually, I'm not going to tell my physician that I am fasting, and just ask to have the order written for the tests, for general maintenace reasons. If something comes up that suggests malnutrition or other problems, I may then become more expressive about my current activities. Otherwise, I personally feel there is no need to subject myself to his potential scrutiny or disapproval. I will also be seeking out the advice of a naturopath in the near future, if there is one to be found in Chicago. I understand they are more abundant in California though.
