Assuming that all who come here are of sound mind and body, you would have a good point.  Such is not the case.

As far as billboards, I guess it depends on the message and the interpretation.

Seriously, there are no sacred cows here, or at least there shouldn't be.  On the other hand, neither in my opinion should there be an orchestrated mob rule that silences someone forever without the chance at redemption.  I thought Dushan gave a pretty reasoned and impassioned post on the ML issue early on as to why he was reluctant to silence someone and put them down.  I hope that reasoning still holds sway when all is said and done.

From this vantage point, a well deserved timeout and time for reflection on some of the good advice and constructive criticism that managed to get in amounst all the bashing and retributions is one thing.  A permanent banning and over the top celebration is quite another.
