For all the roses waiting to bloom
Even if Nelson Mandela did not write those words he spoke... if we embrace them then they belong to us... A rose gives joy to those who see it... Would we ask a rose to not bloom? Or Susan Boyle not to sing? Mother Theressa would certainly not have asked an orphaned child in her care not to shine... The light in each of us will one day shine... We can put a cover over it for a while... but that cover...our pain body,,, will fade away... but the light will keep on shining... long after the body is through... beyond time... in timelessness. .. and shine... and shine... and shine.. One day soon... what is outside will be in and what is inside will be out...
If you shine with your soul... it may seem awkward in this world... being a stranger in a strange land... but that is how it is for all true leaders... but what kind of leader are we to be? One who leads those who will follow into the flames or are we to lead by our example of how we escaped the flames? Being a lighthouse doesn't ask us to drive around on a tank... shooting his enemies... but being a lighthouse is still more of a leader than the tank commander because a leader that shines her light helps others steer clear of the dangerous paths in this sometimes dark and misty world that we live in...
There is a multiplier effect for leaders of all types... but if you are a leader who shines your light then others who see you may fearlessly shine their light... and on and on...and on... until the whole world catches on.... And... after a long bout of winter... in the last season of earth that is spring,,, In these first days of spring it may seem a risk to bloom but this world needs us to bloom.... so even if you feel awkward blooming Rose... bloom anyway,,,let your light shine... The earth needs you to shine.... shine...shine on...
