Re: Weak adrenals and agoraphobia.

Hi ajd,

Make sure that the boxes to receive email notifications are checked before you submit a post.  Then check your inbox or email.  If you are not receiving notifications, contact the webmaster and he will fix the problem for you.

As for adrenal fatigue, yes, this is a very big factor in anxiety, panic, and agoraphobia.  I was agoraphobic many years ago and take heart because there is healing.  However, keep in mind that severe emotional conflict can zap the body and the adrenals.  Together with healing the body, it is imperative to heal the emotions.  Healing from anything, including agoraphobia, includes Mind, Body, and Spirit.

Supplements that will help in your recovery are:

l-Theanine

L-Tryptothan

Colloidal Gold - This is an excellent supplement.  It literally preserves the health of the body, mind, and spirit.  It helps stabilize any chemical imbalances in the brain and lifts depression.  You can get this at http://www.utopiasilver.com.  They have a first time buyer offer where you get one free bottle for every 8 oz bottle ordered, but you must call to receive this offer.  After that, by using their coupon code LR001, you will receive a 15% discount if it is not on sale.  Actually, this is good for all of their products.  I take this supplement daily.

Plant Derived Trace Minerals - Trace minerals are crucial.  Many times the cause of anxiety is due to a deficiency in these minerals.  They also help to correct any chemical imbalances.

Hawthorne Berry Syrup - This will help with a racing heart and will calm panic attacks.

Iodine supplementation is crucial.  Many times anxiety is due to a deficiency in iodine.  I take SSKI and magnascent daily.  The best source that I can refer you to is from Trapper at the Iodine Forum.  That is where I get my iodine and they will guide you as to its use.

Bach's Flower Remedies will help you to relax.  Go down the list for the remedies that will help in your particular situation.

Also, what helped me immensely was a product by the name of Mind Soothe carried by http://www.nativeremedies.com.

Diet is of utmost importance.  Do away with sugar, processed foods, junk foods, fast foods, sweets, sweeteners, canola oil, vegetable oil (only use olive oil, flaxseed oil, and coconut oil).  Your diet should consist of 80% raw, lots of fruits and vegetables and 20% cooked consisting of chicken, fresh water fish, and turkey.  Turkey is a very relaxing food as it contains L-Tryptothan.

In the end, if you have severe emotional issues, this plays a very important part in anxiety, panic, and agoraphobia.  However, the above regimen will do a lot to keep you stable during this time.  It is important to have someone to talk to that can help to guide you resolve these issues (and it can be done).  However, if a therapist ever tells you that you need antidepressants or any other type of medication, get a new therapist.

I forgot to ask, are you on any medications?  If you are, some of the herbs mentioned above could interact with this medication.  If so, I would seek a holistic practitioner or a naturopath to help you wean off the medication and help you go naturally.

Take heart.......  This is only temporary.  There is healing.

My best,

Luella
