I am not Asian so do not appreciate the
cost of switching out all the documents.
Nor does the word "Oriental" carry any
derogatory meaning for me. I suppose, like
dismissing the word Negro from documents
in favor of African-American, it was bound
to happen when the majority of that segment
of the population gained enough political clout.

Many words have lost their meaning or gained
it over the years. Look at gay for an example.
It puts a new twist to saying, "we had a
gay old time". While it can be startling,
it may not be a good enough reason to move.
If you like wide open spaces though, Oklahoma
may be for you~!
