Asymptomatic hiatal hernia... aggravated recently by inversion, exercise, or diet?

To those suffering from acid reflux as a result of hiatal hernia, I have some good news. After having pretty intense acid reflux, I went about two years with none whatsoever without using PPI's. A combination of chewing my food more thoroughly, avoiding alcohol, drinking aloe vera juice, and regularly consuming fish oil, turmeric, ginger, etc. did the trick!

Unfortunately, I did something recently that has brought the acid reflux back. I have three ideas.

1.) I have been using an inversion table (hanging upside down) to promote back health. By hanging upside down, could my stomach have pushed further through the diaphragm, widening the hernia?

2.) I have been doing more intense abdominal exercises. This definitely generates high intra-abdominal pressure.

3.) I have been eating a TON of oregano, basil, thyme, and other herbs that could be causing the reflux.

Which of the three seem most likely? Or do any of them seem like the kind of thing that could suddenly worsen a hiatal hernia?
