Question on water and Question on kelp

I started on the drink yesterday. The only brand of powdered kelp my health food store had was NOW brand. I have looked at some archived posts concerning Now brand-- all of the ones I saw were older posts, many months or years old.

I am going to call the company tomorrow to find out where they get the kelp from, because it doesn't specifically state it on the bottle. It shows it is both Laminaria Digitata and Ascophyllum Nodosum. It seems finely-powdered to me, but I don't really have anything to compare it to.

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone had any comments on this particular brand. I am guessing it is as good of a place to start as any, but I welcome any comments on this brand or suggestions on other places to get Top Quality Kelp.

My other questions is about water to be used with the drink. The recipe says clean water--does water treated by reverse osmosis qualify, or am I really supposed to be using distilled water? I know I need distilled water for the Calcium Hydroxide solution, but what about for the drink itself?

Thanks so much!
