Hi ECblog,

1. When did you have your biopsy? Just recently?
Yes, just recently, april 2009

2. What kind of biopsy did you do? Did they take tissue from you lower lip?
Yes, minor salivary gland biopsy. Located under the lower lip.

3. Can you tell us a little more specific what the result showed?
The lab observe the lymphocyte focus score = Number of lymphocyte foci per 4 mm2 glandular tissue.
Positive if >1. In my case score = 4.

4. Did the doctor present any treatments?
No, despite the fact that there are treatments to increase the salivary flow, it's probably useless for exfoliative cheilitis. Indeed, in my case, I have no problem of saliva amount. I can eat, swallow, without problem.

I have scanned the french biopsy. I have stored it in the Male 29 years old folder.
