It's a nutritional deficiency - lack of the right nutrients to feed the thyroid. It can cause weight gain, fatigue, hair loss, hormonal imbalances, etc.

Kelp is very specific to the thyroid, so if you adjust your diet, exercise program and find a good herbal supplement with Kelp in it - you should notice improvement in a fairly short period of time.
