Re: WHO warns of severe form of swine flu

The Vitamin D council recommends 1,000iu D3 per pound of body weight at the onset of cold or flu and carry on for up to 5 days.

Better yet, get your levels tested so you know where you stand - deficient or optimized. The minimum number for being optimized is 60. One of the D experts keeps his level at 300. I just had mine tested, and I'm at 70 but I'm thinking I want it to be closer to 100. Last spring, my levels were 11 (anything below 30 is considered quite deficient -- no wonder I seemed to catch every virus that came along). I took 20,000iu daily for 3 months to get my level up to 64.

Stock up on bottle of Bio Tech's D3-50 (50,000) and D3 5,000, so you can have it on hand for your family should the flu hit.

Also, don't forget the vitamin C. Mineral ascorbates or sodium ascorbate are the preferred type 'cause it's not as hard on the stomach as plain ascorbate acid is.

Iodine, colloidal silver plus anti-viral herbs like echinacea, and neem would be good to have on hand too. For bronchitis -- ivy syrup has proven, in my family to help heal the lungs.
