Comfrey Bath
Just before I posted MaKayla's story, jjroses asked me how I do a BF&C bath. Here is a good example of how I do one. Note the cloth diaper with the dried, cut herb in it and the color of the water.
The first thing I do, is put 3 or 4 handfuls of dried, cut Comfrey in the cloth diaper. Then I pull the sides of the diaper up and rubber band the top together.(in this particular picture, I used an infant band, which melted, so you can't see it) Since this is a small bathtub, I put the ball of herbs in the bottom of the tub and then poured boiling water on the herbs to start them steeping. After it has steeped for a few minutes, I add enough cool water to make a comfortable bath. The bath water can be used several times by just adding enough hot water to make it warm. The ball of herbs is put into the refrigerator and used 2 or 3 more times until it is used up. You will know when the herb is spent because it will not color the water any more.
We have found comfrey or BF&C baths to be extremely helpful when trying to rebuild any type of tissue or bone damage. The skin is a wonderful medium for allowing nutritional and medicinal properties into the body.
