Re: Has anyone ever heard about Dr. Alvenia Fulton?

Can't say as though I have heard of her, but this is a recent account of her life and obituary...............

"Dr. Alvenia Fulton N.D.,Ph.D. worked in her historic Chicago store, Fultonia Health and Fasting Institute, until she recently became ill, according to her nephew, Robin Brown, the chief of staff to Chicago Alderman Dorothy Tillman.

"She taught us that our health is determined by the foods we eat and the liquids we drink," said Brown. He added, "She was the first anywhere to recommend fasting as a means of cleansing the body and allowing the body to cleanse and to heal itself. She called it therapeutic healing."

Her nephew though is mistaken: she was not the "first anywhere to recommend fasting as a means of cleansing the body and allowing the body to heal itself".
This accolade belongs to the first Hygienists who used therapeutic Fasting from the mid 1800's via Jennings, Graham, Page, Alcott, Oswald, Thacker-Trall, Shelton, Tilden and others.
