FIR use when Rib pain and muscle inflamation?

Is it considered ok to use the FIR (Far-Infrared-Sauna) sauna heat when one has a rib that is probably out of alignment, and it hurts to breath deep and can't sleep on the sore rib (right) side as it might pop out again. The chiro recommendation is ice it up.
I have been doing that, but I keep wondering if my sauna would speed up recovery or worse yet slow it down?

what is the conventional FIR (Far-Infrared-Sauna) sauna wisdom on this subject?

thanks,

Jim
