alternative education

As some may know, I am an LPN at a long term care facility. I have a tremendous love and heart for care of the elderly. As a result of working my second double shift as a new LPN, I've decided that I don't want to dispense dangerous medications like coumadin and effexor anymore. I love my job but I can't help but imagine how much worse it will get when the government takes over (they control a substantial portion of LTC now!).

I want to open my own clinic and know I need my RN to be a nurse practioner. I just don't want more student loans and don't want to spend money studying mainstream medicine. I really want something that will help me earn a comfortable country living and buy my s/opc on a regular basis for me and my mother, a proud cancer survivor who wants to open a holistic day care.
