Re: Gallbladder cleanse for diabetic (Help!)

I was borderline daibetic when I started the atkins diet. It is what controls my Sugar for me. The low carb flush might help.

Use the malic acid capsules or tablets to help soften or dissolve the gallstones. 1000-2000 mg per day. I'm actually taking a bit more than that since my capsules come in 800mg doses. Most people say to take it for 5-7 days before the flush but I read somewhere else to just add it to your regular diet till you are pain free. They can be purchased at the healthfood store. Make sure to buy just the malic acid. They sell it also combined with magnesium and it would probably act as a laxative if you took it that way.

Gold coin grass, available at chinese herb stores, is also supposed to dissolve the stones. I have no idea whether it's safe for a diabetic though.

Don't use the phosphoric acid. I read on some website that it wasn't good for diabetics. Not sure why as it didn't affect my bloodsugar at all. But there was a warning against diabetics using it so you are probably better off not trying it.

Take care,
Lisa
