love avoidance vs love addiction

what are the characteristics of love avoidance? i'm not completely sure. on the laa web page there is a list of questions to ask. is there anything like that about love avoidants; a list of behaviors or ideas? maybe a way someone could check themself by asking ..."do i di this or that if a relationship becomes 'too close'..."? is there a way to help me see it in somebody without getting involved for six months first? any help will be appreciated...
