Re: Male Pattern Hairloss in Teen

Which form of licorice root do you recommend....does it come in a tincture form where I can put a few drops under the tongue or is better in a tea....also what about saw palmetto?

I prefer the powder. I rarely use tinctures. The powder is generally around $0.40 to $0.80 an ounce. If you can get Chinese licorice root (G. uralensis), which is more calming than the American variety (G. glabra). Recommended dose is 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon 3 times daily at least 20 minutes before meals.

There are many other herbs that can drop DHT including saw palmetto and pygeum. I prefer licorice root though not only because it is a potent DHT blocker, but also because it is a testosterone antagonist. So it can help with the DHT through a couple of mechanisms. And you get the additional benefits, which include adrenal support and reduction of inflammation.
