How long has it been since you discontinued the progesterone? When I first started on bio-identical progesterone, it sent me silly. I got such anxiety and heart palpitations that after 6 weeks i discontinued it. In researching it further, I discovered that if you suffer from adrenal fatigue and do not address those issues first, the progesterone will attach to the wrong receptor sites and have the opposite effect. Most well meaning doctors may not be aware of this in their quest to balance hormones. The same is true when treating thyroid issues. If you take thyroid stimulating hormones without addressing the adrenal issues first, you can become worse than before you started. Tweet
