Re: scalp health/dandruff

There are different causes of dandruff, such as fungi and excessive skin shedding. And there are conditions that can mimic dandruff such as dry scalp, dermatitis and psoriasis.

If what you have been doing has not helped then it may not be true dandruff. If there feels like thick patches on the scalp then it could be psoriasis. If it is flat then there could be dermatitis, in which you would focus on the adrenals.

Something else you could try first would be to add some thyme, eucalytus, or tea tree oil to your shampoo at 80 drops per 16 ounce bottle. When you shampoo allow the shampoo to remain on the scalp for a few minutes to kill any fungi that may be present. Adjusting the pH of the shampoo with a little citric acid can also help as fungi love an alkaline environment. And soaps are very alkaline. These will also help with dry scalp problems.

If that does not help then the problem is likely dermatitis or psoriasis.
