thinning hair loss

I dye my hair 1x a month at 46. But I have for the last 7 years. My hair has been coming out so much. Not in clumps though. I brush my hair and falls out. In the shower as I am washing it, it clogs the drain. If you clump it up together its the size of a golf ball, every time I wash it, every 2 days. Im not on Antibiotics , no diet or weather change. What do you think. Help.
