Time for us CureZoners to replace words and rants with actions
A lot of us spend quite a bit of energy and effort warning against the ills of mainstream medicine and lamenting threats to our access to natural and alternative medicine. While spreading the truth is good, for the most part we are preaching to the choir and I for one think that it is time for us to follow up our words with actions. These bills by Ron Paul provide the perfect opportunity. Though it might seem a tall order, they said the same thing when we the people rose up and demanded health freedom and got DSHEA passed. We can do it again - and remember, it only takes a single match to start a forest fire. So I say to one and all, light your matches and get out your pens and mouses and let your congressmen know that you demand the freedom to choose how to address your very private health issues and food without unconsitutional prior restraint of trade and meddling by agencies who give every indication of protecting the profits of big medicine and big agriculture over the freedoms we were supposed to have guaranteed by our forefathers and Constitution.

"Unless we put medical freedom into the Constitution, the time will come when medicine will organize into an underground dictatorship... To restrict the art of healing to one class of men and deny equal privileges to others will constitute the Bastille of medical science. All such laws are un-American and despotic and have no place in a republic... The Constitution of this republic should make special privilege for medical freedom as well as religious freedom." - Benjamin Rush, MD, a signer of the Declaration of Independence and personal physician to George Washington
