Re: Another Zapper Newbie Confused!
Hello, Palomalo.
Happy to being of some help.

I doesn’t have a sample of the Z4 3, but I know the quality this manufacturer has : Excellent.
The price is good too.
Very little documentation on how to use-it. (this manufacturer is a wise man living in USA)
If needed, you will find a lot of documentation on the informational fold of Maestro-Zapper
The booklet of Parazapper is very well made too, even if it adds an additional $10+
If you make this choice (Z4-3), stay with the copper handholds.
The M.Zap4 is more expensive, but offers two points quite rare to find in a zapper :
A stable output voltage of 11V (quite strong zapping without wall plug matters) whatever the voltage of the battery.
An indication of the output current, telling you if you are well connected.
This circuit takes VERY little energy and works well.
2nd frequency is adjustable from about 800Hz to about 7000Hz with a 15turn TrimPot. Beware : ADJUSTABLE by a technician, and not VARIABLE by the customer!
Handholds have their wire soldered to the handles (No alligator clip)
For a first zapper, you can not go wrong with either choice
(Should I tell you here what will be my choice? (;-) )
