Re: Hair thinning in one spot on forehead...

Stay away from rogaine. I also had this problem, although I'm in mid-50s. My hair was very thick, then about 8 yrs ago I just seemed to lose a chunk in front hairline. It hasn't grown back. You notice it mostly when it is parted in middle, in the very front it is see-through. It seemed to be thinning even more so about 1 month ago I applied some rogaine to that front area, and I did this for 4 days. It was a disaster...the hair got really thin there, worse than before. I then read like mad and found out that the hair sheds before it grows back, but of course you have to apply these chemicals to your head for the rest of your life...it is a real gimic... you get hooked for life and the pharmaceuticals get rich. I am trying now to find a natural cure, and have tried many things. Sometimes it looks thicker but then I realize it is the texture of my hair which is coarse so depending, some days it looks better than others, but the hard facts are that in some lights it is definitely see-through and bothers me tremendously. My next step is trying inositol/choline tabs which I read can regrow. Also I read something about applying warm olive oil to your hair. I also will buy this canela oil and try applying it as well. Whatever could help. If you know of something else, pls pls let me know.
