Yeah, they do seem to be shooting themselves in the foot by screwing the loyal and faithful customers. What kind of idiotic business decision is that????
Thanks for the info. I do plan on calling them and demanding they fix it, then calling the BBB and also tell EVERYONE and ANYONE I can about this, in person and on line! Unfortunately, switching the balance to our other credit card as a 'balance transfer' will cost us dearly in interest too. So we're gonna end up getting screwed twice. I HATE CREDIT CARDS.
UPDATE [8.2.09]: I called them today and they reversed everything to the pre-due date change status. They did not give me a hard time or any grief about it at all. They even asked if the new due date was 'Ok for me' or if I wanted it changed. Dang. Guess plenty of folks called them. So I'll stay with them for now. But if they ever pull another fast one, I am GONE from Discover!
